Michaël Elharrar

Michael practices civil litigation. He is particularly interested in public law and in accountability within the growing administrative state.

Originally from Montreal, and having lived in France, Toronto, and Ottawa, Michael spent several years in Vancouver after joining Power Law in 2018 before eventually returning to Toronto in 2023.

Michael is passionate about social and economic justice. He is drawn to complexity and enjoys diving into public law matters and questions of statutory interpretation. Among other things, Michael has experience tackling administrative law issues, language rights, and Charter questions. In addition, Michael is highly detail oriented, and considers written advocacy to be an important craft he is always seeking to improve.

In his spare time, Michael takes care of his ever-expanding collection of plants. He is very interested in technology and the internet of things and has a growing passion for circuitry and programming. These two interests often collide resulting in projects to improve the longevity of his plants.

Michael practices in English and French.
