Darby’s legal interests include aboriginal law, labour law and constitutional law with a particular focus on language rights. He has worked on several cases involving Charter claims and has experience navigating and resolving complex administrative law issues.
Originally from Ottawa, Darby has lived in Brussels (Belgium), Victoria and Kamloops. He began his practice in Vancouver after joining Power Law in 2020. In 2018, Darby received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Victoria with a minor in French and a certificate of language and cultural proficiency in German.
Before joining Power Law, Darby completed his legal studies at Thompson Rivers University where he was an elected member of the society of law student’s Dispute Resolution Committee. He also worked during his studies as the legal clinic coordinator for l’Association des juristes d’expression française de la Colombie-Britannique.
Darby is focused on offering detail-oriented and robust services to provide clients with the best possible legal representation.
Darby practices in English and French. He is also conversational in German.
