Millie practices civil litigation, mainly in the areas of public law and administrative law. Her practice focuses on minority rights, the rights protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and international human rights law.

Millie joined the Power Law team in 2019 to complete her articling. Prior to rejoining the team as a lawyer in 2022, Millie clerked for the Honorable Justice Peter G. Pamel at the Federal Court, gaining experience in federal court proceedings.

Originally from the Lower Laurentians, Millie moved to Ottawa in 2017 to pursue her studies in civil law and common law at the University of Ottawa. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant in the Reports Branch of the Supreme Court of Canada and completed several research contracts with professors at the University of Ottawa’s faculties of civil law and common law.

Millie has a keen interest in international human rights law and, more specifically, international children’s law. She contributed to several research projects, articles and reviews on this subject during her studies in international relations and international law at the Université du Québec à Montréal.

  • A recipient of the Scotiabank Scholarship, selected by the Institut d’études internationales de Montréal in 2017, Millie has also received a number of distinctions, including an award of excellence from UQÀM’s Department of Legal Sciences in 2016 and the Honorable Vincent Drouin Prize in Common Law at the University of Ottawa in 2018.
